Florida Department of Health - Children's Medical Services
The Children's Medical Services (CMS) program provides children with special health care needs with a family
centered, managed system of care. Children with special health care needs are those children under age 21 whose serious or chronic physical or
developmental conditions require extensive preventive and maintenance care beyond that required by typically healthy children.
Florida Institute for Family Involvement (FIFI) -
FIFI works closely with all system stakeholders to develop partnerships and open
opportunities for collaboration that includes families as part of system design, service planning and delivery, and as members of program
quality improvement teams.
FIFI Disaster Planning, Response and Recovery
Emergencies or disasters are
difficult for most families, but for those with special needs, the ability to manage can become more difficult.
Planning is critical in minimizing the effects of disasters and emergencies.
